The Beginner Level program is highly suitable for those students who are completing their primary level education. Beginner students have an awareness of English in their world. They use some English words in their home language. They may even sing along to music or jingles. They recognize English characters and words with relative ease.

The aims of the program are:

To cement and improve English language proficiency.

To provide skills using English in both spoken and written formats.

To develop knowledge and skills so that English can be used in everyday life as well as in future occupation/vocations.

To grow a positive attitude towards using English.

To create an awareness of the culture of using English

To instill lifelong confidence by retaining what’s learned.

Evaluation

All students are supported and monitored constantly. ‘In the moment’ feedback will be the most powerful tool for any idea of progress. Ongoing feedback is given to fully encourage students and let them know how they’re going.

The evaluation will be ongoing throughout the program and focus on:

Class participation

Completing all set exercises

Completing an oral examination

Formal assessments
